Stayed up to watch Andy Murray win his first grand slam!
Such an incredible achievement to win one of the majors in a time which can only be described as a golden age of men’s tennis. And the match was right up there with anything I’ve seen since the ‘08 Wimbledon final.
Murray’s win not only ends 76 years of waiting for a British male grand slam singles champion, but it means the four slams were all won by different players this year - Djokovic, Nadal, Federer and Murray (who also bagged Olympic gold!) What a year for tennis and what a year for British sport!

Morning Tumblr! Another great Saturday night at for Team GB - just one day of action left before the closing ceremony tonight.

Here’s a great image from the stadium of Bolt and Farah, who are good friends, taking to the podium and performing one another’s trademark celebrations, much to the delight of the crowd Photograph: Tom Jenkins for the Guardian

FAVOURITE.

Too good for us not to make a gif: This morning, Jeremy Hunt, secretary of state for culture, Olympics, media and sport, could have killed an innocent onlooker with his bell end as he rang it with too much gusto to celebrate the Games starting in London.

Hahaha, what a Jeremy Hunt!
