So I bought four packs of those plain white sleeves for the new album. All the sketches I had done previously were from the first pack, they had a decent enough matte finish so were easy enough to draw on. I finished that pack and opened the next, it’s the exact same product/packaging, but they’ve got a glossy finish so pencils barely work on them!
I’m currently doing the artwork in ink. I have a pen that works quite well on them, but the new technique has lead to slightly more mental drawings… See above.
Gonna have a look for some more matte sleeves so I’ll have the option in future, but I am quite enjoying the change of pace for now.
Oh hey tumblr, this is what I’m doing with my new album artwork.

Hey hey! The lovely people at For Folk’s Sake have put together this folky Christmas album. Sadly ‘It’s Christmas’ is not a reference to gottabeandrew, but it’s still worth checking out! Some great musicians and all the money (you choose how much you pay) goes to the Integrated Cancer Centre at King’s College London.
